A new standard has emerged on the mattress startup scene and its from Nest Bedding called, The Love Bed. For this post I am going to forgo some of my standard comparisons since I have reviewed The Casper Mattress and Love Bed Mattress in detail separately.

The reason for this review is that many visitors to my site are asking me about the Love Bed and why it’s at the top of my list. The Love Bed is a relatively new product, even compared to the Casper so the reviews aren’t as prevalent. However the company Nest Bedding has been around longer than Casper and many of the other mattress startups you see online.

The Love Bed was created by Nest Bedding founder, Joe Alexander, as a superior alternative to the one size fits all mattresses such as Casper, Tuft & Needle, Leesa, YogaBed, etc. Joe is a mattress industry veteran and help to start the mattress company Keetsa as well as advised the founders of Tuft & Needle. Before that he worked at one of the big name mattress companies and in total has over 15 years experience making mattresses.

The reason you haven’t heard of Nest Bedding yet is that they started small and focus on making quality beds, not marketing. There’s certainly nothing wrong with this and rewarding consumers for referrals has been around almost as long as sales itself but that said, some of the reviews are probably biased because of this incentive which perpetuates the notion that Casper is a better mattress.

I have reviewed over a dozen mattresses on Sleep On It Now and have slept on many more than that. So far, The Love Bed has become the new gold standard when comparing mattress startups. Why? Because so far, it can’t be beat in terms of price and feel.

Instead of having one level of firmness like the Casper, The Love Bed has three levels of firmness, soft, medium and firm. This makes it much more likely that you will get a mattress suited to your needs instead of the shotgun approach of one size fits all and if it doesn’t, we make the return easy. Casper makes up for any of those losses on sheer volume.

Unlike Casper, there’s no off gassing with Nest Bedding beds. You aren’t going to be breathing in chemicals all night or trying to air out your room for the first week. You also get the same type of trial period and warranties that a Casper has but all the value of Nest Beddings products.

Their beds are made in the USA and instead of pouring money into marketing, they put it directly into their mattresses.

If you are considering a Casper mattress or any Casper competitor, I would strongly advise taking a hard look at the Love Bed or Alexander Signature Select from Nest Bedding. Check out my reviews of each and please, don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions about these or other beds that I review. You can email me direct at [email protected]. I usually get back to people within an hour usually faster. I love explaining the benefits of each mattress I review and want to make sure that you get the mattress that works best for your needs.

The Love Bed is GREAT! I’m traditionally a “Princess and the Pea” kind of light sleeper…restless, tend to get hot, super sensitive to movement, etc. I’ve slept straight through the night on this bed since night one…it’s hard to believe it came vacuum packed into a rolled-up bundle – looks like a perfectly “normal” thick mattress. I got a queen medium, and highly recommend it – so far, so good! Great customer service, no funny smell, very supportive but also very comfortable. It’s a winner!

Both fantastic companies that honor their return policy. I tried the casper and found it a little firm despite using the 2 in topper provided by the company. Next, I tried the Nest bed and the firmness was just perfect. Other sites say the firmness between the two mattresses are identical but I found the Nest to be a little softer.
