Chances are you are looking forward to saying goodbye to summer 2020. Labor Day is getting us closer to putting all of 2020 behind us but the silver lining is if you are stuck at home, you can take advantage of the great Labor Day mattress sales online without leaving your house. You can take advantage of free delivery, free returns and generous trial periods. You also get great financing options. One brand I highly recommend looking at is Idle Sleep. You can finance an Idle Sleep mattress for less than the cost of a Netflix subscription and get an 18 month trial period. That will let you sleep through the pandemic in comfort and save some serious cash.
Our Top Labor Day Mattress Quick Picks
Idle Sleep
Idle Sleep is a newer brand but they offer a solid lineup of every type of mattress construction. Memory Foam, Hybrid, and Natural Latex. Idle leads the industry in the most generous trial period of 18 months. That means you get to try it out for a year and half in your house and if for any reason you don’t like it, it’s a free return. Idle also offers some of the best value. Their queen size memory foam mattress sells for $700 which can be financed for less than $15 a month! Brentwood Home
Brentwood Home is a Sleep On It Now perennial favorite. They set the bar for quality and construction at a great price. For the money, it’s just an incredible value. Of all the models that Brentwood provides, the one I recommend the most is the Oceano. It is made with multiple layers of foam, multiple layers of coils, natural wool, cotton and is hand tufted with stitched logos on the sides of the mattress. It feels as good as it looks. Brentwood Home mattress are hand made in their factory in Los Angeles.

Avocado Mattress
Avocado is one of the most awarded natural mattresses. It also has all kinds of green certifications including GOLS certified Latex and GOTS certified organic cotton as well as a natural wool fire barrier. For side and back sleepers, the pillow top version is your best bet while the regular version is recommended for stomach sleepers. There are many new “natural mattress” brands coming online but Avocado has a well thought out supply chain and is very intentional about what goes into their mattress.

Eight Sleep
Eight Sleep makes the most tech-heavy mattress you can buy. It uses small tubes that channel conditioned water through the surface of the mattress to create the optimal temperature for sleep. This mattress syncs with your wifi network to control other devices and sync with your phone to give you the most detailed feedback about your sleep including breathing, movement, heart rate, and more. It can also interface with other smart devices like your smart lights to help you wake up in the morning. I recommend the Eight Sleep Pod pro which has the most comfortable feel and the most features. Get the full Eight Sleep Pod Pro review.

How Long Do Labor Day Mattress Sales Last?
It used to be the case that Labor Day sales only lasted for Labor Day weekend. That timeline has gradually expanded over the years and now you expect sales to start the week before Labor Day Weekend and last throughout the following week. So don’t feel rushed on Monday evening if you can’t make up your mind. Many sites will show countdown timers to create a sense of urgency but if you were to refresh the page, most of the time you will find the timer will also reset. That’s not to say that the sales won’t go away though so don’t wait too long.
Do you Have to Pay Taxes on a Mattress You Buy Online?
Yes, you can expect to pay sales tax on a mattress you buy online but even with taxes, you can still expect a good deal compared to in store brands and you can take advantage of good financing offers and generous trial periods.
Can You Negotiate Your Mattress Price?
No. Online brands do not lend themselves to negotiation or haggling. The price you see is the final price but you will find that it is already a very aggressive price. You don’t have to play the game of finding out what the truly low price is. Many mattress stores are also getting away from this practice as it feels too much like selling used cars and erodes trust.
